Leonie Lewis has worked as both a professional and a volunteer in the charity sector for over forty years.For the past ten years she has been a volunteer charity tin collector for Harrow Mencap.This book takes you through the history behind charity tin collecting to the present day.Leonie shares her experiences as a collector and offers, various tips and insights for fundraising and volunteering as a charity tin collector.This book also looks at the changing face of tin collecting over the years and the new obstacles faced by charities since the onset of Coronavirus and the new era of the cashless society.

Leonie is married to Howard, and lives in the leafy suburb of Pinner, Greater London.She is a member of the Pinner United Synagogue Community and has worked as both a professional and volunteer in the charity and voluntary sector for over forty years.She has a Masters in the Sociology of Education, an MBA in Educational Leadership, and was awarded and MBE in 2018, not forgetting her BGA (Best Grandma Award).
