There are few books available for boys. This book has been specifically written for boys who have been assaulted, alongside other boys in a third party situation. The story covers the abuse of Thomas, from when he first becomes aware his brother and friends have a secret, to the time after they are able to make statements to the police. We hope by including what happens to them after they tell may be of reassurance to some boys in the process of deciding to tell of their own abuse. The illustrations have been designed to appeal to boys, bold and clear, The avoidance of the use of colour has been deliberate, as this is often seen to denote an expected readership in terms of gender and age range. It can appeal to older boys, and also provide an opportunity for younger boys to colour pictures of their choice.
