Kieron Hatton is Profession Lead Social Worker at Portsmouth University. He has extensive experience of developing and delivering programmes in Europeans Social Work, in conjunction with partners in a number of countries including Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway, France, Spain, Hungary and the Czech Republic. He has a wide range of experience of working and delivering educational programmes in social care, and has worked with local and national agencies to develop training in social pedagogy for staff working with services to young people in the Looked After Care system, and adolescents with mental health problems. Prior to joining the university he worked in the voluntary and community sectors and was closely involved in campaigns against benefits cuts, the promotion of Travellers Rights and Housing campaigns across South Wales.
